How to Clean and Care for Your Custom Phone Case
Remove the case from the phone, wipe it gently with a soft damp cotton or microfiber cloth, and let it dry fully before reinstalling it. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaning. Some case types have additional supplier care notes, so use the case-specific guidance below.
A phone case picks up daily residue from hands, bags, pockets, and surfaces. Gentle, regular cleaning is usually better than waiting for buildup and then using a strong cleaner that may affect the finish or printed artwork.
A safe general routine
- Remove the case from the phone first so moisture stays away from ports and openings.
- Use a soft damp cotton or microfiber cloth and light pressure.
- Dry the case fully before putting it back on the phone.
- Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers unless a specific product instruction says otherwise.
Care notes by case type
Tough Case — use gentle cleaning and avoid harsh chemicals. Its rigid polycarbonate outer shell and TPU liner do not need aggressive scrubbing.
Tough MagSafe Case — supplier guidance confirms cleaning with a soft damp cloth and avoiding harsh chemicals. The case uses a rigid outer shell with a black cushioned inner TPU lining and built-in magnetic components.
Clear MagSafe Case — clean the polycarbonate front and back and TPU sides gently with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads that can dull a clear surface.
Clear Case — this flexible TPU case has a translucent matte finish. In addition to gentle cleaning, supplier notes recommend avoiding contact with hand cream and sunscreen where practical.
Biodegradable Case — clean gently and avoid aggressive chemicals or excessive bending. Its PLA, PBAT, and bamboo fibre blend is less elastic than a flexible TPU case.
